Responsible for providing maintenance to all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime. Involves checking, setting up, and operating various types of production tools and equipment prior to approving for production use. Responsible for maintaining an inventory of department Ordering of new parts and management of berry operations work orders. Responsible for maintenance, prevention, and upkeep of all Strawberry Packaging case erectors and peripheral equipment by performing the following duties:

  • Ensure a safe workplace for all team members.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set up, adjust settings and repair for optimum equipment performance. Demonstrate the ability to execute maintenance repairs and operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot folding and gluing issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan and schedule maintenance work.
  • Follow up work request and make possible the proper machine performance.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run available capacity and speed at 90% or better.
  • Willingly to work all necessary hours and shifts.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Follows corporate Quality, Sanitation, GMP and HACCP standards to achieve a finished product within quality control specifications.

  • Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines.

  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.
  • Minimum 2 years maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Experience in machine setup
  • Ability to understand basic written instructions.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate
  • Ability to deal with problems involving machine operation or product/raw materials quality
  • Able to apply concepts of high school math.
  • Must be available, at work, during peak seasons and able to work overtime, including weekends, when business demands require it.
  • Must be willing to drive between locations from Watsonville to Salinas.
