About The Position

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC II to join our PLANT OPERATIONS-HOSPITAL team! The Maintenance Mechanic II provides technical support for the maintenance and operations of the physical plant and grounds of all the associated buildings of the Business Unit. The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of healthcare/clinical duties including but not limited to a wide variety of repairs, preventive, and routine maintenance on critical mechanical equipment, buildings, roofs, and grounds which includes installing building fixtures and components, diagnosing, and repairing plumbing, HVAC, and Auxiliary equipment. Tasks are performed in compliance with all regulatory agencies (OSHA, Life Safety, Joint Commission, NFPA, National Safety Goals, etc.)

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• State approved apprenticed Millwright or Machinery Repairman or equivalent work life experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years' work experience in general maintenance in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare setting.
• Technical training in mechanical and/or electrical subject areas is desirable.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of designated course or equivalent at a Technical College.
