About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II is accountable for the efficient operation of all the equipment and instrumentation throughout the facility, both inside and outside of the building. This position accomplishes the organizational objectives by ensuring that all equipment and instrumentation is operating at optimal levels, utilizing electromechanical skills, tools, and resources. This position manages projects with direction and supervision. Additional Information: Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:30am Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Have at least an industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license.
  • Have at least six (6) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Have at least five (5) years of experience reading blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all equipment and instrumentation is operating at optimal levels.
  • Manage projects with direction and supervision.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
  • Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently.
  • Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
  • Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Order and install replacement parts for machines.
  • Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
  • Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
  • Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.
  • Maintain documentation as required.
  • Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through training.
