About The Position

The Maintenance Technician Level II position in Oxnard, California, is responsible for providing maintenance to all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime. This role involves checking, setting up, and operating various types of production tools and equipment prior to approving them for production use. The technician will maintain an inventory of department parts and manage berry operations work orders. Responsibilities also include the maintenance, prevention, and upkeep of all Strawberry Packaging case erectors and peripheral equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in machine setup.
• Ability to understand basic written instructions.
• Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe workplace for all team members.
• Demonstrate the ability to set up, adjust settings and repair for optimum equipment performance.
• Execute maintenance repairs and operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot folding and gluing issues.
• Plan and schedule maintenance work.
• Follow up on work requests to ensure proper machine performance.
• Maximize equipment utilization to run at 90% capacity and speed.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Follow corporate Quality, Sanitation, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
