About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists in performing maintenance work throughout the plant in order to repair production machines, fabricate parts, and rebuild equipment. Helps to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems. Assists in dismantling, repairing and reassembling complex equipment. Operates production equipment to check work, as required. Cleans and lubricates equipment. Participates in plant Lean Manufacturing initiatives, which may involve quick changeover, autonomous maintenance, and other programs. Assists in performing work in other areas, such as building maintenance, as needed. Assists in installation of new equipment. Works from drawings, verbal instructions and/or sketches. Completes routine paperwork as required. Initiates purchase order request forms for parts and supplies. Complies with safety and GMP requirements. SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT Supports a culture of safe production and exhibits safe work practices. Actively participates in the safety program by engaging in safety activities. Effectively provides and accepts constructive peer-to-peer feedback on safety performance. Adheres to policies, procedures, SOP’s, safe work practices, and safety policies and procedures. Reports ALL workplace incidents to supervisor immediately. Communicates concerns to supervisor, reports hazards, and provides input on prevention. Properly uses, wears, and stores Personal Protective Equipment when required. Participates on safety teams and/or completes safety-related activities as part of regular job responsibilities. Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge of electric, welding and machine shop required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to coworkers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Good problem solving skills required.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
