Short Description This position performs highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment according to safety and predictive maintenance to achieve the site’s business goals and objectives. This position will be on call on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance and meets the skills defined by the maintenance department
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Take daily calls and perform carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs
  • Replace switches, replace ballasts, replace fire alarm initiating devices
  • Repair/replace shower diverters, pull and reinstall toilets, operate drain machine, repair med gas outlets
  • Start or restart chillers and AHUs without assistance.
  • Troubleshoot alarms on the building BAS and make repairs without assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and make repairs on the hospital tube system without assistance
  • Install shelving, painting and patching, repair/replace door hardware, repair sliding doors, repair/replace window shades.
  • Perform TJC inspections and maintenance rounds
  • Performs and schedules preventive maintenance procedures for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Ensure building and equipment meet all safety and fire regulations and policies
  • Responsible for shift coverages
  • Work on the snow removal team
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain equipment and working knowledge of the facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled equipment repairs and perform scheduled maintenance as required.
  • Perform floor mechanic’s duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair as needed.
  • Perform various plumbing, electrical, maintenance, and carpentry functions.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Responsible for maintaining regulated preventative maintenance for their area of responsibility.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust.
  • Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Performs additional duties requested by the Supervisor/ Director
