ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs specialized maintenance and repair of material handling equipment but not limited to the following: conveyors, carousels, vertical lift modules (VLM), OPEX, AutoStore, EuroSort, waves, forklifts, scissor lifts, electric pallet jacks, stock pickers, heat sealers, tape machines, and any other equipment. Monitor periodic maintenance programs to ensure compliance. Space planning and managing workstation reconfigurations. Able to work under the pressure of deadlines . Suitable time management skills and be a self-starter. Needs to be able to communicate in a professional manner with staff, management, and outside contractors using phone, email and Limble, demonstrating a positive attitude across the organization. Supports and participates in the company's quality management system . Able to work with minimum supervision and make independent decisions. Must keep the leadership team informed if a piece of equipment is going to be down for any length of time. Mindful of safety needs, following safety rules, reporting safety concerns. Perform all work in adherence with safety procedures. Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job. Needs to have good attendance and be able to work outside scheduled shift when needed for unplanned or emergency equipment repairs. SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS Ability to see, read and understand instructions in English with various sizes and fonts Able to hear and interpret verbal communication(s) at a threshold of 20db at 1000Hz & 2000Hz and at 25db at 500Hz & 4000Hz Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance and safe driving record. Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, grasp, push and pull for lengthy periods of time. Able to maneuver in aisles 36" wide. Able to reach, lift and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds. Able to read and understand labels and instructions on cleaning products, etc. Agrees to wear protective equipment when required. Able to be trained and operate Mouser motorized equipment. JOB LEVELS Maintenance Mechanic I Basic knowledge of mechanics and tools with a willingness to learn. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 0 to 1 year of general mechanical maintenance experience. Maintenance Mechanic II Work requires an intermediate knowledge of several maintenance trades to repair fixtures, material handling equipment, and motorized equipment, construct storage structures. Ability to perform required preventative maintenance to warehouse equipment Have an understanding and ability to help complete: testing, calibration needs and prepare for audits. Requirements 1 to 2 years general mechanical maintenance experience required. Experience can be a combination of internal and external experience. Maintenance Mechanic III Advanced knowledge of several maintenance trades to repair the more complex problems associated with these items; must be able to troubleshoot, look up parts in catalog or online, place an order if needed. Ability to repair warehouse equipment. Ability to perform and complete testing, calibration needs and audits as needed. May assign work projects to other mechanics and may assist in training less experienced mechanics. Must be able to offer solutions for problems. Closely monitor and follow up on staff requests for repairs. Requirements 3+ years of experience can be a combination of internal and external experience. Maintenance Technician Able to complete all tasks listed as a Maintenance Mechanic I, II and III Able to read electrical schematics and operation of electrical diagnostic tools Able to perform diagnostic and repairs of electrical motors and motor drives. Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic driven production components. Able to perform diagnostics and repairs on pneumatic controls. Understands basic hydraulic systems to diagnose system issues. Possesses an advanced knowledge of several maintenance trades in order to repair the more complex problems associated with these items; must be able to troubleshoot, research parts in catalog or online, place orders when needed/authorized. Lead trainer for Maintenance Mechanic I, II, and III Offers solutions for problems. Closely monitors and follows-up on assigned requests for repairs Proficient in using Limble to support and enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness of all warehouse maintenance operations. Maintains a productive workday by repairing any equipment noticeably needing repair. Requirements 3+ years of industry specific equipment mechanical maintenance experience required. Internal candidates: Experience can be a combination of internal and external experience. Minimum Highly Effective performance in current role. Meets Maintenance Mechanic I, II and III qualifications.
