About The Position

This is a full-time position responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance required to maintain the physical structure and equipment in the most reliable and economical operating condition. The role involves responding quickly to any internal disaster and taking charge at the scene until relieved by competent authority. Additionally, the position requires collecting, entering data, and documenting all required regulatory inspections as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 - 2 years of building mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work well with all levels of staff personnel.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft programs.
• Ability to learn and work within the Facilities Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to inspect equipment and identify conditions requiring correction.
• Working knowledge of common hand tools and test equipment used by maintenance personnel.
• Knowledge of and adherence to general safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and drawings.
• Basic working knowledge of plumbing systems, including compressed gas, potable water, drain-waste-vent systems, steam and condensate systems, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to perform mechanical and plumbing repairs.
• Willingness to respond to emergency calls during off-duty hours.

• 5+ years in hospital mechanical maintenance work.
