About The Position

This is a full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The role is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance required to maintain the physical structure and equipment in the most reliable and economical operating condition. The individual will respond quickly to any internal disaster and take charge at the scene until relieved by competent authority. Additionally, the position involves collecting, entering data, and documenting all required regulatory inspections as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 - 2 years building mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work well with all levels of staff personnel.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills using Microsoft-based programs.
• Ability to learn, navigate and work within the Facilities Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to inspect equipment and/or systems and identify conditions requiring correction or intervention.
• Working knowledge of common hand tools and test equipment used by maintenance personnel.
• Knowledge of and ability to abide by general safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and drawings.
• Basic working knowledge of plumbing systems, including compressed gas, potable water, drain-waste-vent systems, steam and condensate systems, electrical generation, distribution and utilization systems and equipment.
• Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, both central and package type systems.
• Ability to perform mechanical and plumbing repairs.
• Willingness to respond to emergency calls on off-duty hours.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years in hospital mechanical maintenance work.
