About The Position

This position works under limited supervision and is primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment, machinery, and building facilities ensuring optimum operation in a timely manner. This position will work at 7 on 7 off schedule with hours of 7am-3:30pm. In this role you'll make an impact by: Maintaining the condition of designated production and facility equipment as per state regulations. Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles. Ensuring optimum operation of all production equipment and machinery by trouble shooting, diagnosing, and repairing any problems in a timely manner and updating CMMS as necessary. Assisting in the implementation of company maintenance policies and training, maintains all necessary licenses and certifications, and assists in the training of lower-level mechanics. Coordinating with production the repair or the preventative maintenance of production, and process equipment to minimize downtime. Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all building systems and their components. Systems to include lighting, HVAC, production wastewater system, steam, compressed air, hot and cold-water systems, electrical, foam system, and all similar systems located throughout the facility. Ensuring the continuous operation of mechanical equipment by performing scheduled Predictive Maintenance. Performing all required work for installation and removal of equipment. Must be able to machine small parts as required using mill/lathe. Must be able to tig weld to complete repairs/projects. Completing all required computer logs and paperwork on time. Validating metrology equipment throughout the production facilities. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC operations and boiler plant fundamentals including troubleshooting.
  • Capable of metal fabrication with styles to include soldering, brazing, stick, tig, and mig welding.
  • Capable of machining parts as required using shop equipment such as a lathe, mill, saws, and drill press.
  • Possesses the knowledge to recommend design and installation alterations to and build new machinery, equipment, or parts to improve present production processes.
  • Possesses technical knowledge including PLC expertise to solve problems, make small changes, and suggest long term improvements to equipment and processes.
  • Has good overall electrical and controls experience such as knowledge of wiring, PLC's, relays, motors, sensors, and use of electrical testing tools etc.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E as it pertains to industrial facilities.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings used in the construction of the company's products.
  • Knowledge of motor and pump operations and maintenance, fluid dynamics, and pneumatics.
  • Must be a member of the Novonesis maintenance team a minimum of 5 years.
  • Must have a valid drivers license, forklift license and Boiler Operators License is desirable.
  • Must be arc flash trained.
