About The Position

This is an entry level maintenance mechanic position. Responsibilities include: Under supervision of higher-level mechanic, have the ability to learn proper troubleshooting and repairing of equipment associated in production in a timely manner as well as the maintenance of all building support equipment, including but not limited to air, water, steam, hydraulic, refrigeration, and electric systems.

Requirements

• Must take in house mechanical aptitude test
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to work independently or in a group/team atmosphere
• Good organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Properly troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated with in the production facility, in a timely manner with supervision
• Perform preventative maintenance on all production, and warehouse equipment
• Properly perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and plumbing duties as required
• Rebuild/replace equipment as needed, including but not limited to pumps, gear boxes, bearings, bushings, chains, bundler headers, conveyors, etc.
• Complete assigned work orders by their required due dates
• Complete assigned housekeeping duties as required
• Communicate to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager of any condition that prevents the manufacture of product to established standards
• Work in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal GMP’s, SOP’s and company Policy and Procedures
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies, as needed
• Possess own basic hand tools necessary to perform the requirements of the position
• Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude
