About The Position

This position is for a Maintenance Technician working the third shift from 11pm to 7am, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime required to meet production demands. The technician will perform duties to maintain and repair a variety of production and plant facility equipment, working closely with production personnel on equipment repairs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in maintenance related fields is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Experience with PLCs and other manufacturing control systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Possess problem solving skills and abilities to work well under pressure.
  • Previous experience as a lead technician or desire to develop into lead or supervisor is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Extrusion and Press machines and their functions is preferred.
  • 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine Preventive Maintenance and inspection on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical and Pneumatic issues with Extrusion, Press, and Grinding Equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical, mechanical and pneumatics schematics.
  • Perform repairs and replacement of faulty components to keep machines operating efficiently.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Document work requests, work orders, and machinery failures using a computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of Industrial electrical wiring and 3 phase systems up to 480 Volts.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of process controls.
  • Knowledgeable of A/C and D/C motors and controls.
  • Understand PLC process controls.
  • Maintain chiller system and plant air supply system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may include janitorial, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, security, and carpentry.
