About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic 3, you will support the mission of Student Affairs by planning, coordinating and performing routine and emergency maintenance. This includes repairs to facilities, equipment, and systems in the $32 million, 80,000 square foot Chinook Student Center. This position will lead work of the Chinook Student Center maintenance & custodial staff. Additional Information: This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Requirements

  • High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade and one year of journey-level experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work or equivalent education/experience.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with pumps, motors and electrical.
  • Experience with building control systems.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing weight and cardio equipment.
