The Maintenance Mechanic position involves installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment, physical structures, plumbing, hydraulic and electrical and automated systems. The role requires performing maintenance functions making repairs in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic breakdowns under minimal guidance of the maintenance supervisor. Responsibilities include planning, obtaining cost estimates, executing projects, troubleshooting, providing training, responding to work orders, assisting in ordering parts, developing preventative maintenance programs, participating in quality improvement programs, supporting installation of new equipment, and maintaining compliance with company quality systems. The position also involves basic design and fabrication of repairs and process improvements, along with other duties as assigned.
