About The Position

The position is focused on repairing and maintaining production equipment and machinery to ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and quality in operations. The role involves troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and overhauling machines as necessary. The technician will also be responsible for training new hires and communicating maintenance issues with management.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Proficient use of hand tools.
• Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of plant electrical and control circuits.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to optimize efficiency, downtime, quality, and safety.
• Repair, replace, and adjust electrical or mechanical parts in the machines and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on injection molding machines and equipment.
• Overhaul machines when deemed necessary.
• Respond to maintenance issues from tenders, packers, quality assurance, and plant supervision.
• Train, instruct, and mentor new hires or lower level maintenance staff.
• Communicate issues encountered with management and maintenance staff.
• Record maintenance activities in IQMS database accurately, detailed, and timely.
