About The Position

As the Maintenance Mechanic 2, you will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Specialist 4 for University Recreation. Your primary responsibilities include performing routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and systems within University Recreation facilities. This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position that is eligible for overtime.

Requirements

• High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work OR completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade; OR equivalent education/experience
• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards
• Ability to respond to emergencies outside normal business hours
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays

Nice To Haves

• Pool mechanical experience or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) / Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification
