About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic position at CVS Health involves managing equipment in a mid to large volume distribution facility. Requirements

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, including shift rotation.
  • Ability to work safely with and around 24 Volt, 110 Volts, and 480 Volt electrical systems.
  • Read, comprehend, and interpret technical reference manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to work within a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems.
  • Ability to be trained in Lock-out Tag-out procedures as an 'Authorized' user.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS system.
  • 0-2 years of previous warehouse experience is preferred.

  • Experience with advanced electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support for the Maintenance area under limited supervision.
  • Execute non-routine tasks crucial for technical support requests.
  • Establish preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for all systems and equipment.
  • Regularly assess machinery for signs of wear and defects.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and organizational safety guidelines.
  • Conduct complex daily work orders.
  • Coach junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyors, balers, and powered industrial equipment.
  • Conduct regular system inspections and checks.
  • Perform smaller adjustments and service tasks such as lubrication.
  • Handle unplanned electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Control and adjust light sensors and switches.
  • Exchange and set up mechanical and electrical wear and tear parts with rolling stock and dock equipment.
  • Perform various field-related tasks as directed by management.
