About The Position

Perform timely equipment repairs to maintain production schedules and assist production personnel with equipment maintenance activities. Perform assigned predictive/ preventive maintenance checks on plant equipment, fill in as production support person when assigned. This position may be scheduled for shift work and weekend coverage that support all plant activities and requires availability for call out work. This position will encompass all dutie.s as needed to meet the needs of Certis Wasco.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (speak, read and write)
  • Must be trained and able to function effectively in a minimum of two (2) plant applicable skilled trade. Examples: Instrumentation, Electrician, Mechanic, Welding/Fabrication, HVAC, Mill Wright or construction with a minimum of two years work experience in that related maintenance field.
  • Must have demonstrable working knowledge of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, air compressors, and plumbing equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance activities including basic construction, building and grounds maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical circuits.
  • Repair and service all plant utilities. This would include but not be limited to steam generation, compressed air system, chilled water systems and associated distribution system.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all rotating equipment and associated parts. This would include but not be limited to bearings, belts, gear, chain drives on all equipment associated with industrial manufacturing plants.
  • Assure all department paperwork is completed properly and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Operate company forklifts and vehicles with a valid California driver's license and a company forklift license.
  • Wear all personal protective equipment as required in the employee hand booklet.
  • Work in a proactive role to ensure processes are completed on timely bases.
  • Conducts duties with a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Adhere to all company polices as described in the employee guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in the Wasco plant facility.
  • Able to read and understand technical documentation.
  • Actively participate and support site ISO program initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide OJT (On the Job Training) as directed.
  • Above tasks must be able to be performed with normal supervision oversight and training.
