The Maintenance Manager oversees and directs all maintenance activities for both the plant and mine to ensure operational reliability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role supports plant production, mining operations, capital and engineering projects, and continuous process improvements.

  • Lead maintenance of all mine and plant equipment, utility systems, facilities, and grounds
  • Manage preventative and predictive maintenance systems, including lubrication, vibration, and temperature sensing programs
  • Maintain and optimize CMMS (EAM) for work orders, asset tracking, and PM scheduling
  • Coordinate major equipment shutdowns and outages in collaboration with other departments
  • Develop and maintain an efficient spare parts and procurement system
  • Lead capital projects from initiation through execution and close-out, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
  • Track and report maintenance KPIs and equipment performance metrics
  • Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) for major failures and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen events and Lean practices
  • Provide process engineering support for production and R&D initiatives
  • Troubleshoot production issues and recommend enhancements to improve quality and throughput
  • Ensure ISO 9000 compliance through procedure development and training
  • Maintain and track corrective actions from audits, inspections, and customer visits
  • Develop, train, and mentor maintenance staff to ensure high performance and safety compliance
  • Perform biannual performance reviews and support ongoing team development
  • Promote a collaborative and informed team culture through effective communication systems
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years supervisory experience preferred or a minimum 10 years other relevant experience
  • Heavy-industry maintenance and/or mining experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees at all levels
  • Working knowledge of software applications (MS Office / Excel / MS Word, etc)
  • MSHA required training will follow Marble Hill's Part 48 Training Plan including New Miner training and annual refresher
