About The Position

Darigold is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to be a part of Darigold’s Pasco plant. The Pasco Team Maintenance Manager must possess the desire and ability to lead the maintenance function. As a member of the Pasco Team the Maintenance Manager will be a partner in the Operations Division. The Maintenance Manager’s role is to lead the Pasco Team maintenance function including both managing staff and fiscal responsibilities.

Requirements

Experience in dairy or food processing required, drying operations preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of maintenance and repair to include mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and building maintenance, wastewater treatment, boiler operation and maintenance, and refrigeration.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining process control software.
Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team in continuous improvement activities.
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
B.S. in Engineering or related field OR an associate degree in a technical field with the correct combination of leadership experience, and food or dairy processing experience desired
5 to 7 years combined experience in plant maintenance and/or engineering; minimum of 3 years in supervisory capacity.
Complete understanding of computer driven process controls for a dairy manufacturing facility preferred, and PC literate field1

Nice To Haves

Maintenance experience with butter and/or milk powder production, dairy processing, and consumer packaging desired
Experience with process control systems, PLC’s, instrumentation, and automation.

Responsibilities

Will Manage a maintenance staff in a plant that operates 24/7.
Provides on and off hour emergency response including equipment repair, damage control, and assignment of personnel as needed.
Administers department budget within established guidelines, oversees new capital expenditure items including equipment purchases, contracted labor, and in-house construction and fabrication projects.
Develop and deliver on maintenance programs with an emphasis towards OEE-based performance.
Oversee plant utilities including steam generation, power distribution, chillers, glycol heating and cooling, cooling towers, domestic tempered water, plant HVAC systems, water distribution systems, fire suppression, etc.
Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve plant reliability including defect handling, CIL (clean inspect lubricate), breakdown analysis, etc.
