About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the management of the sequences, team, and equipment at the Little Leaf Farms greenhouse. This position will create processes, systems, and structures to ensure all equipment and infrastructure are operating reliably, efficiently, and safely. This person will hire and lead a high-performing team, manage maintenance related capital projects, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive success at the site level.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher level of education, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other data analysis tools
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in maintenance, automation, or manufacturing roles
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Strong technical understanding of PLC programming, electrical/mechanical systems, and automation
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Strong background in hiring and developing high-performing teams
  • Physically capable of performing essential job functions, including lifting/climbing, and walking
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety protocols
  • Experience with third-party food safety audits

Responsibilities

  • Hire and develop a high-performing maintenance team.
  • Coordinate internally with construction and key vendors to lead commissioning, qualification, and validation of key equipment and systems.
  • Develop and implement systems, structures, and processes to ensure equipment operates effectively and reliably.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PM program for equipment across the facility to reduce downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Manage key reactive maintenance, when necessary, to minimize any equipment down time.
  • Define what success looks like for the maintenance organization using measurable data and key performance indicators (KPIs). Lead the team toward achieving that success every day.
  • Optimize CMMS systems to track technician performance and KPI’s, manage work orders, and control parts inventory.
  • Develop a cohesive relationship with key vendors and establish a regular business review cadence focusing on key improvement opportunities, service agreements and overall collaboration.
  • Manage and execute key capital projects related to maintenance on time and within budget.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement among the team and manage and promote CI initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with construction, growing, and water technical to drive operational success.
