About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for assisting in the oversight of aviation maintenance activities, including assisting in planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services for Life Flight Network (LFN) in compliance with LFN’s FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate, established guidelines, codes, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Maintenance or Technology or a related filed or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 3 - 5 years as Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic required
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification required
  • 3 years experience at a EMS helicopter program strongly preferred
  • 2 years management experience supervising multiple aircraft and maintenance technicians
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Responsible for having a thorough knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Superior customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Able to take initiative, creating, implementing and improving procedures and programs
  • Travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN’s service area is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile in good repair. Must provide proof of auto insurance and meet Drivers Policy requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years experience at a EMS helicopter program strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining aviation maintenance FAA required employee records, ensuring employees with certifying authority have the appropriate license or authority approved by the FAA
  • Ensures all maintenance employees maintain currency and proficiency in aircraft assigned to LFN’s Air Carrier Certificate
  • Assists in the direction of aircraft technicians
  • Advises the Director of Maintenance regarding department-wide programs, projects, and activities including making recommendations, formulating and implementing department policy
  • Ensures maintenance employees are familiar with and have access to all FAA requirements
  • Ensures availability of materials, tools, equipment and technical publications
  • Develops methods to monitor and improve productivity
  • Ensure all employees complete required training
  • Conduct on-site reviews and audits of maintenance operations and facilities
  • Verify all maintenance is accomplished and documented correctly
  • Demonstrates awareness of, and supports LFN goals through participation in continuous quality management and company activities
  • Promotes professional development and contributes to the professional growth of other
