About The Position

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager manages and coordinates all maintenance-related activities of a non-automated or automated facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent knowledge of the principles of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Working knowledge of PLC's, VFD's and other automation equipment.
  • 3 years multi-skill maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment including resource planning.
  • 4 years automated production management experience.
  • Experience working at temperature-controlled facility.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical and electrical fundamentals and applications.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as 35 degrees F in wet environments.
  • English/Spanish Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life
  • Investigate recurring equipment failures and implement long-term solutions to prevent future issues
  • Implement and ensure compliance with all fire, safety, risk, environmental and health and safety programs
  • Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
  • Manage, plan and schedule maintenance workload
  • Develop and ensure adherence to annual budgets for labor and materials
  • Review monthly reports, discuss results, and provide creative solutions to achieve goals
  • Collaborate with management to create schedule for planned maintenance events and work directly with all automation vendors during the hardware and software commissioning process
  • Provide recommendations on future capital expenditure projects for the assigned projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Manage all projects for production maintenance to work within production timelines
  • Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance on existing and future equipment
  • Develop and maintain current inventory of equipment
  • Provide guidance on the design and management of future automation project work
  • Develop ROI's for existing equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
