Facility & Equipment: Oversee maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of all kitchen equipment, facilities, and grounds to ensure safe, sanitary, and efficient operation, aligning with HACCP/GMP standards. Sanitation Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS), cleaning procedures, and chemical usage protocols. Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, and internal food safety guidelines; coordinate and participate in internal/external audits and inspections. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and lead maintenance and sanitation teams, fostering a culture of safety and high standards. Chemical & Inventory Control: Manage chemical supplies, interpret labels, ensure proper handling, and maintain safety data sheets (MSDS). Safety & Training: Implement LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, promote chemical safety, and ensure IIPP compliance, training staff on proper cleaning, safety, and equipment operation. Budget & Reporting: Manage departmental budgets, track expenses (chemicals, supplies, labor), and maintain detailed records for compliance and improvement. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Assurance, Operations, and Production to resolve issues, support production start-ups, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 Years with Maintenance Experience

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree
  • 6 Years with Maintenance Experience
  • Experience in Food Distribution
  • Experience with Ammonia Systems
