The Maintenance Manager oversees installation, repairs, and upkeep of the facility's property and assets. They will contribute to the organization's success by ensuring optimal proactive maintenance support and processes for the entire plant production and work to improve plant efficiency.

  • Oversee and lead maintenance procedures and ensure implementation in the facility.
  • Optimize production operations through prioritizing, scheduling, and coordinating requests of repairs and installations for all aspects of maintenance work.
  • Identify and present capital improvement projects to support plant infrastructure needs and improvements.
  • Set and manage budget for maintenance department and related maintenance activities and reevaluate on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain a critical parts inventory system for all machine parts and order parts as necessary for inventory and special projects.
  • Collaborate with sub-contractors to coordinate installation of new equipment and completion of building projects.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement and strategic planning:
  • Identify and maintain a pipeline of capital projects and foster strong working relationships with stakeholders, including outside contractors and vendors.
  • Prepare, submit and update capital requests using capital planning software.
  • Analyze downtime trends and maintain machine operating standards.
  • Act as the technical resource to address and resolve maintenance related inquiries and problems, including aiding in trouble shooting plant equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure all practices comply with regulatory and internal policies:
  • Manage the plant preventive maintenance plan to ensure completion of tasks to ensure minimized production downtime.
  • Administer the maintenance work order system by prioritizing, assigning, and monitoring work orders.
  • Manage OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) programs, with an emphasis on lockout/tagout and electrical safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory environmental programs for testing and disposal requirements such as waste oil disposal Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan.
  • Participate in safety efforts including attending safety meetings, incident investigations, assisting in root cause analysis and auditing.
  • Manage training needs for maintenance staff.
  • Associate degree in science, or completion of trades training.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge related to the job and 5-7 years of progressively responsible related experience.
