About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing the management of the maintenance staff. It ensures that all bottling equipment is in top operating condition while working within the constraints and limits of a set budget.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree (preferably electrical) or equivalent experience.
  • Five years in a manufacturing facility.
  • Electrical/control circuit trouble shooting experience a must.
  • Process and performance improvements - development of performance tracking & PMs for all plant equipment.
  • Ability to program PLC's to improve equipment performance.
  • PET bottle manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Arc Flash requirements.
  • Experience with Ammonia Refrigeration, steam and air systems.
  • Budgeting and project management experience a must.
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a union environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement preventative maintenance programs to help ensure that all machinery remains in good operating condition.
  • Review maintenance crew schedules and status of projects to ensure completion of daily and weekly project assignments.
  • Review daily plant downtime reports as a tool for directing the maintenance supervisor where to concentrate their efforts.
  • Minimize cost through the effective use of supplier marketplace by cataloging supplier names, pricing and policies.
  • Effectively maintain a plant where OSHA regulations are met through maintaining machinery in a safe operating condition. Ensure that supervisory staff does not take shortcuts at the expense of safety.
  • Evaluate and recommend to senior plant management ideas, concepts and equipment for efficiency improvements.
  • Perform other duties as required.
