Maintenance Manager Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the general maintenance and repairs on all production equipment. They need to be comfortable inspecting and troubleshooting any issues that may arise involving equipment in the facility.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Strong knowledge of production and distribution industries.
  • Strong background in manufacturing with preventative maintenance environment.
  • Experience as maintenance mechanic with form-fill machine experience as well as electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and set up experience with GMP knowledge
  • Background knowledge of electrical and mechanical trouble shooting of high-speed packaging and filling equipment mandatory.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations for equipment safeguarding and operation.
  • Knowledge of electrical, ADA, and plumbing codes.

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma or degree in a related technical field considered an asset.
  • Automation and robotics experience will be beneficial for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all maintenance functions and is responsible for the training of all personnel in maintenance tasks.
  • Updates and maintains records for all safety and service logs for all plant equipment and plant and packaging room equipment.
  • Maintains schedules for preventative maintenance on plant equipment, packaging equipment and material handling equipment.
  • Oversees general safety training and implements new procedures as it pertains to maintenance personnel.
  • Promotes a safe working environment and ensures that employees follow company safety procedures and policies.
  • Performs position with the highest regard for sanitation within the facility.
  • Ensures that production machinery and equipment is properly maintained.
  • Ensures appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies.
  • Ensures all maintenance work is completed on a timely and cost-efficient basis.
  • Able to demonstrate the commitment to Arctic Glacier’s Management Systems: Quality/Food Safety, Environment Health, Safety and Health, and the Leadership Principles utilized by Arctic for managing and improvement.
  • Primary responder for facility alarms.
  • Other assigned duties as needed.
