About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of all machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds. This position is responsible for the safety of employees, keeping assigned work areas organized, and in compliance with all local HSE/5S guidelines and regulations. You will also manage projects to modify equipment for improved uptime, reduced maintenance, safer operation, and increase throughput. Developing the maintenance team to expand skills and improve core competencies is critical to success. The Maintenance Manager will report to the Plant Manager.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Be able to work weekends and respond after hours for equipment issues or projects when needed
  • Have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team and be able to communicate with different levels of the company
  • Be computer savvy and have hands-on experience with maintenance management systems to guide ongoing improvements
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and walk, bend, and stoop throughout the day

Responsibilities

  • Directs maintenance team through daily and weekly meetings and using CMMS for work assignments
  • Identifies and completes projects with the Production, Maintenance, and EHS staff on-time and under budget
  • Oversees and manages preventative maintenance using a CMMS to eliminate machinery breakdowns and maximize equipment availability
  • Analyzes problems and directs repairs by scheduling maintenance personnel and ensuring repairs are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Develops and manages staffing and hours to support the production schedule and maximize production output across 2 sites (separated by 2 blocks)
  • Continually monitors and analyze maintenance downtime and Production runtime data using local equipment readouts and online reporting tools
  • Coordinates contractors and outside vendor activities to meet site needs including lawn and snow removal
  • Set goals and objectives for all maintenance team associates based on plant KPIs and trains/performance manages the team to achieve success
