Position Description: Responsible for safety, training, motivating and managing of the maintenance department to ensure mechanical and electrical systems support the manufacturing of high quality products in a safe environment. Responsibilities: Manage Maintenance Technicians and Engineers by organizing and assigning maintenance functions in order to ensure safe and high-quality production. Drive safety corrective actions to completion. Audit and ensure parts room inventory accuracy. Control costs in the areas of quality, downtime, parts utilization, contractor/vendor services, etc. Follow up on new equipment installations and the day-to-day maintenance of existing equipment. Assess maintenance department’s technical and safety training needs. Review and evaluate the preventative maintenance program, and audit first article start up failures, to continuously improve program effectiveness. Lead/interact in team meetings. Monitor and follow-up on End of Shift Reports, work orders, parts requisitions, Technician ISO checklists, etc. to track work completion. Responsible for ensuring ISO, OSHA, and GMP standards within the department. Member of the Continuous Improvement Team and Safety Team. Owns and drives energy savings projects. Schedule Associates in KRONOS and review time records. Other duties as assigned.
