POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities related to the repair, maintenance, and improvement of production machinery, physical facilities, and grounds. This role supervises maintenance staff and outside contractors, manages work scheduling and performance, and ensures all activities comply with environmental, health, safety, and quality standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in plant engineering, facility engineering, maintenance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five years of maintenance/repair experience in a cold-heading environment (including electrical), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five to eight years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and machinery used in the automotive fastener/stamping industry.
  • High competency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and schematics.
  • Advanced mathematics proficiency.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, MS Office, and MS Excel (including charting/graphing); AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on equipment operation experience with the ability to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Availability for 24/7 on-call support.
  • Proficient in personal computing and software tools.
  • Completion of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) training for self and staff; ability to administer related programs, audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Knowledge of TS-16949 Quality Systems and ISO 14001/45001 Environmental Management standards.
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective presentation skills and the ability to communicate with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and sister locations.
  • Ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw accurate, practical conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision, direction, and support to all maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee and manage outside contractors performing facility, grounds, machine, and systems maintenance, including security systems, fire alarms, fire suppression, hydrants, sprinklers, backflow devices, eyewash stations, and emergency lighting; obtain quotes as needed.
  • Purchase replacement machine parts, maintenance supplies, and facility operating materials.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance for all machines and facility systems; complete and track work orders.
  • Coordinate routine inspections and emergency repairs with external vendors in accordance with Agrati guidelines.
  • Ensure all equipment and machinery meet ISO and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Compile and maintain reports for fire systems, gas usage, and sewer usage, partnering with EHS to ensure proper audit-ready documentation.
  • Manage contracts for snow removal, lawn care, and lift truck preventive maintenance.
  • Estimate labor and material costs for equipment repairs, rebuilds, and replacements.
  • Oversee building renovations, refurbishments, and capital projects.
  • Perform additional duties assigned, including hands-on maintenance work when necessary.
  • Ensure full compliance with IATF-16949 and ISO 14001/45001 requirements, including document control and adherence to 5S standards across all maintenance functions.
  • Verify that all tasks—including Hot Work, Confined Space, and other high-risk activities—are performed in alignment with safety, environmental, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Promote continuous improvement through coaching, employee development, and team involvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and county regulations and environmental standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings and internal/external ISO 14001/45001 audits.
  • Schedule work, approve time and attendance, and complete 90-day and annual performance reviews for maintenance personnel.
  • Train all new and temporary maintenance employees.
