About The Position

As a Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for leading and directing plant maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, operational continuity, and safe execution across the facility. The role establishes and executes maintenance and reliability strategies that support production goals while driving continuous improvement in preventive and predictive maintenance systems. This position provides leadership to both hourly and salaried maintenance teams, building technical capability, accountability, and strong cross-functional collaboration with production and quality. The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, data integrity, and disciplined execution of maintenance standards. This role is critical because Mixing is a constraint area in Tupelo, and unplanned downtime is the top driver of OEE loss, directly impacting machine efficiency and plant performance. This position provides the reliability leadership required to eliminate breakdowns by strengthening preventive and predictive maintenance systems in one of the most critical departments. A strong Maintenance and Reliability leader in Mixing is essential to sustain forward momentum, stabilize operations, and protect production continuity through disciplined execution and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or in lieu of degree 10 or more years of experience in engineering/maintenance management in an industrial environment.
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives including preventive/predictive maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage plant maintenance operations, including preventive and predictive maintenance systems, to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor maintenance teams, building technical skills, accountability, and a strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • Drive reliability strategies and performance management systems, ensuring adherence to key KPIs such as scheduled compliance and CMMS data integrity.
  • Manage maintenance labor, resources, and schedules to optimize utilization while ensuring regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Analyze maintenance performance, costs, and downtime data to identify issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering to support operational goals, capital projects, and overall plant performance.
