Job Duties: · Ability to manage the entire maintenance staff on both shifts. · Ability to be a strong leader of a small group of people. · Ability to work in Microsoft word and excel spreadsheets. · Maintain cost effective practices that are compliant with quality, policies and procedures. · Plan and schedule shift needs; utilizing employees, equipment and material in order to obtain quality products. · Assign maintenance employees to jobs and instruct them in the proper procedures that will ensure quality, safety and efficiency. · Ensure plant safety by overseeing general working conditions. · Ensure that all personnel are properly trained and have a full understanding of the processes they are involved in. · Ensure that all personnel have a complete and full understanding of plant good manufacturing practices and HACCP programs. · Ensure that all personnel have good communication skills with the ability to communicate to other departments. · Ability to work with Quality Assurance and USDA. · Ensure that all personnel support continuous improvement initiatives. · Ability to work with electronics, motors, machinery, scales, freezers, among other maintenance related parts and equipment.
