The Maintenance Manager will ensure that all staff performs daily in a well-planned executed fashion sharing in the sense of urgency surrounding mission critical operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of ten years manufacturing experience is required
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in maintenance and facility management
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical systems and control mechanical systems
  • Must demonstrate high level of maintenance orientation, as well as self-driven that requires minimal supervisor
  • Must have effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage people
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to function effectively in a team-based environment
  • Demonstrated 'hands on' approach which allows for coaching and continued development of others
  • Must have solid project management skills
  • Must have capability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must have a demonstrated ability in problem solving techniques and driving sustainable solutions
  • Thorough understanding of change leadership and principles of design
  • Working knowledge of LEAN methodologies
  • Knowledge of OSHA
  • Must have working knowledge various software applications such as SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage various budgets as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team consisting of a Maintenance Supervisors, clerical and support staff
  • Keep manufacturing equipment running by effective maintenance.
  • Provide maintenance support for preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Address unplanned manufacturing equipment downtime and assess root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Leads predictive and preventive maintenance systems and maintenance personnel
  • Ensures all regulatory/code requirements associated with equipment and facility are met
  • Interface with Facilities Supervisor to support building and grounds issues
  • Manages the day to day operations of a maintenance of a manufacturing plant and all equipment
  • Accountable for maintenance improvement programs and projects that improve the plant and equipment performance
  • Responsible for plant specific maintenance strategies and leads maintenance activities to achieve key performance goals
  • Establishes process performance metrics; tracking, analyzing and reporting performance in terms of quality, safety and cost
  • Ensures that all staff and/or contractors share in the sense of urgency surrounding mission critical operations
  • Assists in the determination of staffing and operational levels
  • Reviews all expenditures for tools, equipment supplies, materials and contractual services and makes recommendations for their approval
  • Responsible for technical leadership, training, and assistance to maintenance plant team members
  • Directs the activities of the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisors.
  • Manages the maintenance budgets along with driving cost reduction ideas
  • Plan, Drive, Execute Full Height Full Pressure (FHFP & Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Improvement plans to deliver world class performance
  • Active leader of plant initiatives to deliver plant performance goals
  • Communicates operating philosophy, objectives and expectations to staff and enforces all Company, Plant, and Departmental work rules and policies
  • Ensures consistency with constant communication within the Maintenance Department
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Good Manufacturing Policies (GMP) and Quality procedures are followed and the facility and work practices are within the regulatory compliance standards
  • Promote, establish and hold accountable that all employees meet the established expectations of their position
  • Maintains safe practices and procedures to drive a zero accident safety culture
  • Responsible for specific plant safety programs to ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards
  • Perform observations for both improved safety and quality, such as safety scans and Benchmark with internal and external resources for continuous improvement methods to ensure best maintenance practices
  • Behavior Based Safety (BBS/BEST) observations as required.
  • Support Plant Quality Systems
  • Owns Maintenance per TS/IATF-16949 standard
  • Performs other duties as assigned
