About The Position

Responsible to use the skills and education required to install, repair and conduct preventative maintenance on all plant equipment and the facility as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED. Minimum of two years trade school or equivalent experience
• Industrial experience in a similar industry preferred

Nice To Haves

• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient in basic mechanical or electrical skills
• Excellent precision measuring ability
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems
• Understand practical aspects of preventative, predictive maintenance systems & proper lubrication selection & application

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of machine equipment and hand tools
• Installation, alteration, preventative maintenance & repair of various types of production equipment
• Responsible for proper administration of LOTO, confined space and other OSHA guidelines
• Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately
• Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner
• Maintain production schedules
• Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S
• Other duties may be assigned at a later time
