The Maintenance Logistics Manager is responsible for assisting in the oversight of aviation maintenance activities, including assisting in planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services for Life Flight Network (LFN) in compliance with LFN’s FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate, established guidelines, codes, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Maintenance or Technology, a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5 years as Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic required
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification required
  • Responsible for having a thorough knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Superior customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Able to take initiative creating, implementing and improving procedures and programs
  • Travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN’s service area is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile in good repair. Must provide proof of auto insurance and meet Drivers Policy requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years experience at a EMS helicopter program strongly preferred
  • 2 years management experience supervising multiple aircraft and maintenance technicians
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures for LFN’s Maintenance department to ensure materials, equipment, and other maintenance related items are available when needed
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and required support equipment and tooling
  • Advise the Director of Aviation Maintenance regarding department-wide programs, projects, and activities including making recommendations, formulating and implementing department policy
  • Develop and streamline new base opening systems and processes to ensure LFN is able to accept growth, while ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Assist with maintenance department expense budgeting
  • Ensure availability of materials, tools, equipment and technical publications
  • Develop methods to monitor and improve productivity
  • Frequent Travel internal and external to LFN
  • Conduct on-site reviews and audits of maintenance operations and facilities
  • Assist with LFN aircraft fleet initiatives
  • Demonstrate awareness of, and support LFN goals through participation in continuous quality management and company activities
  • Promote professional development and contribute to the professional growth of others
