About The Position

As a Maintenance Worker, you will perform various maintenance duties requiring some minor technical work, such as HVAC troubleshooting and adjustments, light plumbing troubleshooting, light carpentry repairs, and minor appliance troubleshooting and repair. Irrigation troubleshooting and general grounds upkeep, including weeding, trimming, and pressure washing, are also included. You will work with an aide and as a team participant to ensure the community meets the quality maintenance standards set by ELS. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and appealing property, including common area grounds and vacant lot grounds, and communicating regularly with other maintenance staff and management on projects and concerns.

Requirements

High school diploma or the equivalent experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with large equipment.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
Willing to be on call for emergencies that arise after hours.

Responsibilities

Perform various maintenance duties requiring some minor technical work, such as HVAC troubleshooting and adjustments, light plumbing troubleshooting, light carpentry repairs, and minor appliance troubleshooting and repair.
Perform irrigation troubleshooting and general grounds upkeep, such as weeding, trimming, pressure washing, etc.
Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe and appealing property.
Maintain common area grounds and keep them free from trash and debris.
Maintain vacant lot grounds.
Communicate regularly and professionally with other maintenance staff and manager on all special projects.
Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
Maintain maintenance vehicle and equipment.
Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
Maintain record keeping such as MDS, inventory, and work orders.
