As a Maintenance Leader, Bespoke this person will oversee and direct the installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment and other mechanical equipment supporting production operations. May supervise equipment mechanics, shop personnel, electricians, electronic technicians, maintenance welders, carpenters, plant janitor service, and other production support maintenance personnel. Review and direct equipment preventive/predictive maintenance program. Assist staff with complex equipment problems or with major equipment failures, repairs or overhauls. Establish means for responding to maintenance calls and set call/project priorities. support and improve equipment operations.

  • Supervisory position in one or more maintenance areas that typically requires 5+ years of experience in maintenance, including experience in a lead role
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and project management skills
  • Communication Skills - Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills are a must
  • Technical Skills - A thorough understanding of manufacturing practices and the ability to understand product specifications and features are essential for success in this position
  • Analytical Skills - Enjoy gathering and digging deeply into data to identify issues and produce creative, effective solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across different business units
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team-oriented environment
  • Uses personal influence skills rather than position power to persuade others and gain support
  • Good command of English, both written and oral for effective communication with other ITW units and business leaders
  • Sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of simultaneous projects
  • Ability to perform analysis and interpret data into actionable steps

Responsibilities

  • Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the organization’s maintenance goals and monitoring PM compliance
  • Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance
  • Provide support and advice during staff recruitment and ensure the proper onboarding and training process
  • Oversee and enforce good record-keeping practices
  • Generate work orders, enter comprehensive job details, and assign work to qualified team members.
  • Occasionally inspect the quality of performed maintenance work
  • Communicate policies, procedures, and any updates to maintenance staff
  • Check that every single job is executed on time, to the budget, and without compromising users' safety
  • Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to protect the interests of the facility
  • Keep an eye on materials and spare parts inventory
  • Lead the development of maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventative maintenance
  • Recommend budget items, contributing to the development of an annual maintenance budget
  • Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment
  • Actively discuss staff-related challenges with senior management
  • Help out with day-to-day equipment maintenance work when needed
  • Check that the premises are safe and not in violation of any regulations
