About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Lead - 1st Shift to join our team located in Rice Lake, WI. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm. We Offer You! Hours & pay w/overtime potential Fast paced environment Variation of job tasks The company LIVES its values The hourly wage for this position starts at $27/hr What Success Looks Like: Guide the daily workflow for each employee within the department and leads tier meetings Responsible for updating daily work logs, general and preventative maintenance work orders, and tool crib procurements Has excellent mechanical skills and is familiar with all power transmission equipment Able to perform high-level PMs/repairs on equipment and able to identify potential machine issues. Sufficient skills to fabricate and install machine components, bases, frames, guards, etc. Can install or troubleshoot most drives and components, understands relay logic and DC power supplies, and can install an electrical supply without instructions Able to assemble and/or install most pneumatic valves, FLRs, plumbing, and air piping without assistance Able to install new or replace solenoid valving and understands fluid power basics, and can integrate into machines Fully understands the needs of production and communicates well with all aspects of plant personnel Willing to train others up to their skill level and willing to take further training or education Your Credentials: Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job experience in a related field or a 2-year technical degree Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job experience in a related field or a 2-year technical degree
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Experience driving a forklift
