Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification(s) and/or associate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a maintenance mechanic required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of CNC equipment, electrical theory, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits preferred.
  • Knowledge in either Fanuc, OSP, or Mazatrol preferred.
  • Ability to design and fabricate fixturing and guarding from a variety of materials.
  • Skilled or able to become skilled in the safe operation of: band, chop, and table saws, drill presses, and grind & buffing wheels.
  • Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, ladder diagrams, and electronics, and the ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Must be qualified to operate Powered Industrial Trucks, including meeting vision, hearing, depth perception and reaction time requirements.
  • Must be able to drive company vehicle and pass required medical evaluations.
  • Must wear safety-toe slip-resistant footwear (must be ASTM F2413), safety glasses (ANSI Z87.1), gloves and hearing protection where required throughout the plant.
  • Frequently will lift up to 40 pounds (as team lift or with mechanical means), stand, walk, reach, pull, push, bend, twist, grasp and handle.
  • Occasionally will sit and kneel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the entire campus, safely performing maintenance and preventive maintenance on both production and non‑production equipment.
  • Owns overall campus maintenance activities while fostering positive working relationships with all team members.
  • Schedule, assign, and perform a wide variety of complex maintenance and repair activities to support efficient and continuous operation of production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Ensure best-in-class equipment uptime while maintaining full compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and/or install manufacturing and facilities equipment consisting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems, including assembly machinery, CNC machining centers, conduit, power taps, and IT equipment.
  • Design, build, modify, maintain, and repair assembly and machining workstations, including controls, guards, and fixtures on presses, and test equipment.
  • Contact, coordinate and lead efforts with outside contractors as it relates to machine repairs, facility repairs, facility upgrades or any other projects in which outside resources are necessary.
  • Lead Safety Starpoint Team.
  • Drive Parker EHS requirements with the team and ensure all actions are completed on time.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety team board along with Gensuite software to ensure compliance.
  • Support the coordination of safety related training activities for the facility with department leaders and HR.
  • Prioritize personal workload and communicate with team members to ensure needs of the department are met.
  • Work with functional leaders to resolve schedule conflicts as needed to ensure business objectives are being met.
  • Ensure compliance OSHA regulations and other safety governing bodies.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate records in accordance to company policies and law.
  • Perform all required work to rig, move or erect all types of machine tools and equipment for plant layout changes.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, specifications, and instruction manuals.
  • Positively and actively contribute to High Performance Teams (HPTs) by participating in team improvement boards (TIB) reviews, problem solving and task completion.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required.
