About The Position

The Maintenance Lead is accountable for maintenance work scheduling and results within a designated work team. This includes staffing, scheduling, cost management, team development and coaching, performance review, and planning for continuous improvement. The role also involves managing designated teams to support Lean (process, quality, safety) requirements to meet organizational objectives and company goals.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years related experience with two of the five years in a supervisor, lead or advanced industrial maintenance technician role.
  • Knowledge of and general application skills in Windows Office environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Advanced analytical, complex-problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills (mechanical and electrical).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, schematics, instructions and reports.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40lbs.
  • Occasionally required to work at heights up to 30 feet above ground.
  • Valid driver's license required or eligible to get a valid state driver's license.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in interview and selection process for the cell and/or job family, collaborating with interview team members to select candidates based on specific knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors.
  • Develops and administers technical assessments used in external & internal interviewing processes.
  • Uses mechanical, electrical & electronic knowledge to assist IMT's & IMTA's with troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Develops and manages staffing schedules that support operational requirements to deliver customer service.
  • Communicates with previous and next shift Leads to maintain smooth shift transition related to operational status.
  • Audits SAP work orders for consistent data input.
  • Develops and coaches individuals to support the maintenance process and operational objectives.
  • Uses rewards and recognition to reinforce accomplishments.
  • Responsible for final approval of training/progression plans.
  • Assesses maintenance operation to identify skill gaps and improvements.
  • Participates in the development of technical training specific to production equipment.
  • Schedules technical training to alleviate dependence on outside and OEM vendors.
  • Communicates appropriately to create understanding of how daily activities link to operational goals.
  • Partners with Maintenance Manager for personal continuous learning.
  • Accomplishes duties using safe work practices and reports all injuries and unsafe practices.
  • Coaches fellow employees on safe work practices.
  • Performs related work and additional duties as needed.
