Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Utility Technicians, overseeing light maintenance tasks and facility project work.
  • Interview, hire, and train team members, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Schedule and assign daily work tasks, coordinating projects and maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and perform light maintenance tasks, including equipment inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness and organization, including removing debris, empty pallets, and maintaining clear aisles.
  • Assist with project work such as facility upgrades, installations, and general maintenance projects.
  • Monitor and enforce safety procedures, ensuring the team follows all health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and team performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the production line and address any facility-related needs.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience in the warehouse industry.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, ensuring high standards of performance and safety.
  • Experience overseeing maintenance and project work in a manufacturing facility.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a focus on training and development.
  • Basic computer skills for managing schedules, records, and reporting.
