About The Position

The Maintenance Lead is a person of integrity and respect and makes safety a priority by supporting operations efforts to identify, eliminate and reduce exposures to create a safe and compliant work environment. In being a proactive thinker, the Maintenance Lead will lead by example and is responsible for motivating their teammates. As a communicator on a unified team, they will also be responsible for inspiring positive communication within their team(s) so they can work together toward achieving goals as well as building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Four years related maintenance experience.
  • Industrial Maintenance experience preferred.
  • Martins Level 4 tech or higher.
  • Operates forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and mobile carts.
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Knowledge of electrical principles.
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of professional email communications.
  • Knowledge of CMMS Systems.
  • Working knowledge of building codes and wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lives out and promotes Martin’s culture commitments of integrity, respect, communication, quality, customer service, proactive thinking, and being an ambassador for Martin’s.
  • Supports maintenance efforts for corrective and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensures that work orders are completed according to procedures and communicates work plans with other teams.
  • Communicates necessary scheduled and unscheduled repairs and improvements.
  • Ensures cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas is maintained.
  • Verifies all parts processes are followed.
  • Works in coordination with Maintenance Trainer and other maintenance leaders in development and adjustments to maintenance service training on new equipment.
  • Assists with preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Leads small industrial projects including planning, updating schedules, and communicating progress.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of industrial maintenance including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical.
  • Performs and organizes technicians in industrial activities including inspections, repairs, overhauls, and troubleshooting.
  • Works with cross-departmental units to address and resolve mechanical/production issues.
  • Ensures all mechanical records are completed successfully.
  • Commits to continued personal learning and development in lead role.
  • Adheres to and enforces safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
  • Reports safety, food safety, and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
