We are part of NTN, the world's third largest bearing manufacturer, we have over 75 plants worldwide and over 100 years of premium quality to our name. Job Title: Maintenance Janitor. Summary: As part of the Facilities Maintenance team, the maintenance janitor will assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring clean and orderly conditions are maintained in production areas.

Requirements

• Able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English to convey information effectively.
• A minimum of 1 year driving a fork-lift truck is desired.
• Must be able to be forklift certified within our environment.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safety, health, and environmental protection practices within the workplace.
• Able to consistently meet job attendance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates industrial fork-lift to transport waste materials within plant.
• Operates industrial waste compactors and performs equipment inspection.
• Empties and maintains all industrial hoppers in facility.
• Coordinates with supervisor and/or contractors to schedule all waste pick-ups.
• Picks up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers.
• Wipes and/or power washes operating equipment.
• Brushes, sweeps and/or shovels debris around work areas as needed.
• Applies principles of 5S to assigned areas so everything is organized, clean, and safe.
• Follows all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
