Position Summary: Will ensure all production equipment are production ready with respect to spare parts, repair parts, and consumables.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Must have 1 - 2 years of warehouse and inventory experience.
  • Strong Excel experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Excel and computer skills
  • Previous experience in CMMS systems

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Procurement is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Food manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains all assigned equipment areas in a constant state of inspection-readiness, including cleanliness, safety, and compliance with cGMP requirements.
  • Maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Monitors reorder points and initiates to replenish stock. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies supervisor of irregularities.
  • Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; process purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates delays and other issues.
  • Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Receives, unpacks, and deliver goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
  • Inspects shipments for accuracy and completeness and resolves inconsistencies.
  • Responsible for maintaining the supply and demand of inventory and ensuring that there are adequate stocks available.
  • Assists in management of tool and chemical inventories.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of project status and recognizes the need to ask for help in order to achieve goals.
  • Arrives at work as scheduled, starts work at the beginning of a shift, is on time to meetings, completes assigned tasks in a timely manner, and works overtime as required.
  • Demonstrates initiative and job knowledge by suggesting ideas, discovering new and better ways of accomplishing goals and finds innovative, well thought-out solutions to problems.
  • Knows and follows the Maintenance Department policies and procedures and Thorne Research policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
