About The Position

The Maintenance Inventory Purchasing Coordinator is primarily responsible for issuing purchase orders for Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) and ensuring timely delivery of purchase orders. Manages outside vendor operations to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services. You will be a self-starter that works well in a growing, fast paced environment to carry out the Maintenance Inventory Purchasing activities and manage supplier/vendor relationships.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance shop and manufacturing environment
  • MP2 (CMMS) and MACOLA purchasing program experience a plus
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within maintenance industry
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical terminology
  • Intermediate skills in personal computers, data entry, email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work independently with little direct supervision
  • Good interpersonal and clear communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Creating purchase orders for the acquisition of materials
  • Researching, interviewing, and negotiating with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications
  • Providing routine administrative support
  • The administration of production stockroom, ordering production essentials, maintaining inventory levels, requisitioning, receiving of inventory and heavy data entry
