About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Interservice Contracting Officer (MICO) to join our team. The primary function of this role is to serve as a Maintenance Inter-Service Coordinating Officer within the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD) Maintenance Branch. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the inventory, logistics, accounting, and tracking of Non-Air Force Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment designated for repair at the HNCM COMSEC depot.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, and accounting, preferably within a DoD or governmental context.
  • In-depth understanding of COMSEC material safeguarding, accounting, and supply control practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate, review, and approve contracts or agreements.
  • Proficient in using systems such as NIPR, SIPR, Crystal, and PIDSii.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to assess funding balances and depot costs.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle classified material and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with the Demilitarization (DEMIL) process.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory and Logistics Management: Oversee the inventory, logistics, accounting, and tracking of Non-Air Force COMSEC equipment to ensure efficient repair processes at the HNCM COMSEC depot.
  • COMSEC Expertise: Act as a manager and expert/authority responsible for all aspects of safeguarding, accounting, and supply control of COMSEC material.
  • Point of Contact: Serve as the Maintenance COMSEC point of contact for non-Air Force Department of Defense (DoD) entities and all governmental agencies requiring maintenance support for COMSEC assets.
  • Agreement Validation: Validate, review, and approve Depot Maintenance Interservice Support Agreements, Interservice Agency Agreements, and Memoranda of Agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain, document, and manage the inventory control of all non-Air Force COMSEC assets sent to CCSD for recertification and repair.
  • Demilitarization Support: Support the administration of the Demilitarization (DEMIL) process for COMSEC assets.
  • Invoice Documentation: Produce accurate invoice documentation for Production Information Database System (PIDS) maintenance actions.
  • Classified Material Protection: Ensure the protection and confidentiality of classified material in accordance with security protocols.
  • Mission Support: Function as a MICO in support of the CCSD COMSEC mission, ensuring operational success.
  • System Utilization: Utilize various systems, including Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPR), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPR), Crystal, and Production Information Database System (PIDSii) to perform job duties.
  • Research and Funding Analysis: Research customer agreements, Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR) funding balances, and depot costs related to testing, repairs, recertifications, demilitarization, and shipping.
  • Customer Support: Provide customers with detailed accounting information to assist them in managing and prioritizing their equipment repairs.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as the primary point of contact for the DoD and non-Air Force entities regarding COMSEC maintenance needs.
