Maintenance intern

About the position

Danfoss Turbocor in Tallahassee, FL is searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Intern to join our team from May 2025 to the end of 2026. This role offers hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshoot and repair. The Engineering Intern will also assist in creating, updating, and organizing maintenance documentation to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in test equipment mechanical and/or electrical troubleshoot and repair.
• Conduct regular equipment inspection and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in the creation and revision of maintenance manuals, procedures, and guidelines.
• Organize and maintain documentation files and databases.
• Collaborate with maintenance and Lab team to gather necessary information.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company standards.
• Support the implementation of documentation control processes.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
• Understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, or industrial maintenance.
• Availability and commitment to work on-site; 40 hours per week during the summer and 20 hours per week during the fall/spring semesters.
• Experience with the MS Office suite.
• Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work site.
• Well-organized and detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills.
• An ongoing desire to learn and seek out new information.
