About The Position

This individual will be able to apply hands on technical application in maintenance related fields. Responsibilities will be working hands on with maintenance craftsmen to utilize their technical training in an industrial application. Projects include but not limited to machine rebuilding, troubleshooting techniques, preventive maintenance, print reading, and equipment installation. Application of safety and maintenance procedures will be required. Also working with production and engineering on lean and continuous improvement projects within maintenance and production.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at an accredited university/college/trade school.
  • Pursuing at least a two-year technical degree in Electrical Maintenance or equivalent area.
  • Completed the first year of core technical courses.
  • Required cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Ability to work minimum 20 hours beginning Summer 2026.
  • Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for maintenance, engineering, and production.
  • Troubleshoot, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of plant assets.
  • Focus on safe, reliable, and cost-effective production in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Perform assigned tasks competently and efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Learn to locate sources of problems by observing mechanical and/or electrical devices in operation.
  • Remove/replace defective parts by disassembling machinery, using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
  • Assist in controlling downtime by performing routine preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and monitor machine operational performance.
  • Perform duties as needed in support of the plant.
