Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.
Uses knowledge and experience to resolve complex operating problems in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor.
Repairs various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments.
Assembles and tests motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment.
Performs general and preventative maintenance on multiple production systems in and around the facility.
Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment.
Accurately completes daily maintenance reports.
Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
Typical education required: Associate Degree, Military, or Civilian Equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology.
Two to five years related experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Flexible and able to quickly shift priorities as needed.
Able to work from verbal and written instructions.
