About The Position

The position involves repairing and maintaining all production-related machinery and the physical plant. The role requires performing preventative maintenance according to established procedures and repairing machinery in the molding and lining department, including auxiliary support equipment such as presses, lining/assembly machines, chillers, cooling towers, un-winders, and spinning bowls. The technician will also perform mold and tool changes, complete necessary documentation for preventative maintenance, safety checks, and troubleshooting/repairs, and adhere to lock out/tag out procedures. Additionally, the role includes fabricating parts for machines as needed and increasing skills through education and training. Familiarity with all equipment on the production floor is essential, along with competency in operating aerial lifts, motorized pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Fork lift certification.
• Hands-on experience in pneumatics, basic electricity, and mechanical devices.
• Experience with hand and power tools, measuring devices, welding, surface grinders, lathe.
• Ability to read and understand assembly diagrams, electrical and pneumatic symbols and diagrams, and blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance according to established procedures.
• Repair molding and lining department machinery and auxiliary support equipment.
• Perform mold changes and tool changes.
• Complete necessary documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly PMs, safety checks, and troubleshooting/repairs.
• Follow and adhere to lock out/tag out procedures.
• Fabricate parts for machines as needed.
• Increase skills through education and training.
• Familiarize with all equipment on the production floor.
